After a reboot on windows 7 (32 bit) Everything fails to run ('failed to run as administrator).
After a few attempts (right-click and selecting run as admin), I attempted to uninstall. But the same failure occurs when running the uninstall exe.
Appreciate any help with this.
unable to run or uninstall
Re: unable to run or uninstall
What version of Everything?
Antivirus or similar interfering?
Any reason you need to "Run as Administrator"?
Will using the Everything service work?
Will the ZIP version open & run?

Re: unable to run or uninstall
The temporary solution was to write a .bat file that runs as admin, saves credentials.
'runas user:MACHINE_NAME\Adminiistrator /savecred executable path.
It took a while to get to this and it is certainly a wiindows permissions/security screw-up on teh machine. But it's teh client's machine and they hat egiving embedded engineers root or admin pawwwords (because they can manage all the application software anybody will ever need...)
As to why it has to b admin - that is peculiar to that PC . My machines at ome have no such problems.
Thanks for your suggestions and questions.
