Hello, my Windows search is not working anymore, thats why i am using everything and i like it
I have one problem though, Windows search always finds programms first, which makes me able to start programms fast with the search.
Everything never shows the exe first, as it might not be the correct name, or the folder of the programm where the exe is in is the first result.
So is there any way to make Everything sort in a way that .exes are always on top of the search results, but i can still see the other results and not only .exes?
Thanks, Comyu
How can i make Everything prefer exes in the results?
Re: How can i make Everything prefer exes in the results?
You can set the filter Executable in the Menu | Search | Executable Ctrl+Alt+5 to see in the results only executable or enter *.exe

I dont want that. I want to see exes first, but see ALL other results too. This way i only see exes.salazor wrote:You can set the filter Executable in the Menu | Search | Executable Ctrl+Alt+5 to see in the results only executable or enter *.exe

Maybe by messing with the Run Count?
For specific sets of .exe's, I open regularly from within Everything, & they are the topmost hits.
(That happens on a different computer, so not sure offhand what settings / search terms I'm using, but suspect it has to do with Run Count?)
