[REQ] Options to show folders on top / case sensitive sort

Post by V@no »

Hello.

I'd like add couple requests for new options:

1) sort files and folders together, without separation (currently folders sorted and shown separately from files)
2) case sensitive sorting
3) option to always show folders first/last, regardless on the order (right now they shown on top when sorted ascending and on bottom when descending).

Thank you.

1) sort files and folders together, without separation (currently folders sorted and shown separately from files)
2) case sensitive sorting
Everything treats files and folders as two completely different objects.
Sorting these together is not very efficient with Everything.
It might be useful enough to sort a small number of results this way, I'll look into adding an option to do this in a future release..
3) option to always show folders first/last, regardless on the order (right now they shown on top when sorted ascending and on bottom when descending).
This is a little easier to do, I'll look into an option to make this possible.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I am also interested in:
1) sort files and folders together, without separation (currently folders sorted and shown separately from files)
Is this possible in everything in the meantime?

Best regards

Not yet, sorry.

Everything was not designed to do this and I have performance concerns about such a feature.. -It might take a second or two to sort the results..
It is on my TODO list.
