Tooltips aren't popping up anymore

Everything v1.4.0.705b (64-bit) no longer shows tooltips when hovering the cursor over a field that exceeds a column's width, as seen here:



I have both entries relating to tooltips in the Everything.ini file enabled:

tooltips=1
listview_tooltips=1

Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Appears to work ok here.

Are you using any screen readers? or any other apps that may be interacting with the Everything result list?

Could you please send me the verbose debug output when the cursor is hovering over an item?

Thanks for the debug output, nothing obvious from the logs to help locate the issue.

Do tooltips work in Tools -> Options?

In case there is an issue with the Everything.ini, is Tools -> Options -> View -> Show tooltips checked?

Tooltips do work in the Options settings. I don't know if this is helpful, but when I was using version 1.4.0.688, tooltips would flash on and off, rather than staying just on.

Might not be related, but maybe perusing through the items listed in ShellExView - Shell Extensions Manager might point out an oddity?
