If you Shift+DEL in Everything, is deletion quick?
(I would think that Recycle Bin deletion would simply follow whatever settings Windows was set for?)
Though under Options | General | Keyboard there are separate settings for Delete & Delete (Permanently), so maybe by default a simple Delete is set to delete to Recycle Bin. And if that's the case, you could just use Shift+DEL with Everything or reassign the hotkeys so that Delete (or some other combo) performs a Shift+DEL.

Re: when I delete a file in everything a msgbox notice prepa
thx if I del the file with shift+del in everything, It becomes normal.
In your opinion I should replace the del with shift+del, but it seems a little dangerous if I del a file without put it into the recycle bin first,
whatever thx a lot for your help, I have looked for the answer to modify the setting of my recycle bin. But it's a little difficult, I can't find the settiong which related to this question. After all the situation only appears in Everything, Can you give me a hint? There is not enough info on the web. Thx.

I would think so too.shift+del, but it seems a little dangerous
Odd.
If you're getting "quick" deletes in Windows, I would think you have set Windows to not use your Recycle Bin?
What OS?
Win8 may be different?
Not sure?
Thinking perhaps "deletion" displays "immediate", but then actual processing is going on behind the scenes?
When you delete a file now, through Windows, does it actually turn up in your Recycle Bin?
In any case, I would expect Everything to either delete "slowly" or "immediately" no differently then what the OS does (other then the method chosen in Everything)?
(IOW I'd expect Everything to be using the same system calls that the OS uses to effect a deletion.)

At first, thx a lot for you help
I reinstall the everything, it became normal again.(I should try to reinstall it previously)
I compare the new everything folder(which can del file normal) and the previous folder, there are 4 different files: everything.db everything.ini run history.csv and search history.
I ignore the last 2 file which is related to the history.
So there are everything.ini and everything.db.
I overwrite the everything.ini with the previous wrong ini file. And the question haven't turned out.
So I guess the problem is in the everything.db file.
But it seems to be a binary file, it can't be read. So it's a shame to lost the chance to solve the Q permanently.

And my os is win7
if I del the file in explorer, the deleted file can be found in the recycle bin first.
