Making everythig to update on demand
I have seen everything search updates on eveytime it is invoked , is there any way to update the index only when the user wants to as in locate32 , because that would mean searching old files would be easier.

Everything is designed to always be up to date.
To disable this you will need to disable monitoring for each volume.
Currently the volume must be available for this to work.
I have plans to add the option to keep the old indexes of removed volumes in a future release of "Everything".

To disable monitoring for a volume:
- In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Volumes tab.
- Select the volume from the local NTFS volumes list.
- Uncheck Monitor changes.
- Click OK.
To manually rebuild the database:
- Exit "Everything"
- Delete the Everything.db file in your "Everything" installation folder.
- Restart "Everything".

I would rather use locate32 for old files and everything search for new files then to folllow this lengthy procedure .I waiting to see newer options for database update in the next release .Thanks.
