ALL searches, ALL directories yield "0 items"!!!

Post by Alduin's Khajiit »

IT DOESN'T MATTER what directory I right click on and go to "search everything" if Everything has been in the taskbar awhile and not used (usually since system startup), it will ALWAYS say "0 items" INSTANTLY upon right clicking on a directory to search Everything BEFORE EVEN typing ANYTHING into the search and I am forced to completely exit Everything the taskbar and reopen it and wait, and wait, and wait, at least two hours for it to rescan FOUR drives including a 4TB mostly full drive

You never responded back to http://www.voidtools.com/forum/viewtopi ... 9214#p9214.
Is that still related?
If so, no sense in starting another thread.

A couple reasons why this may happen:

1). Settings and the database are not saved to disk when you exit Everything.
Please make sure store settings and data in %APPDATA%\Everything is enabled from Tools -> Options -> General.

2). Everything encountered an error when rebuilding the index. This will cause the indexer to abort, leaving you with an empty index.

In case of the later, I would need to see the debug output after forcing a rebuild (Tools -> Options -> Indexes -> Force rebuild) to be able to help.

reported. both of you. because of you two lying, in the two and a half hours it took to rebuild so I can find a file needed for song. I missed out on making 6 songs (instead I sat and wait and it completed AFTER 10 AM when I can no longer make music) which COSTS ME MONEY!!!
