I like Everything to -instantly- find what I am looking for, i.e. the incremental search.
Sometimes it may happen that I wish to use the 'DC' (date change) parameter.
Everything starts search instantly and it ends up in an endless search -before- I finished entering the parameters.
Example: I have made a bookmark of a date search
* dc:01/08/2014-31/08/2014
I would like to select this bookmark and then enter text-string, edit the dates and -THEN- hit enter to have Everything
search within these parameters. Regretfully I donot have the chance to do so, as Everything starts instantly and I cannot
update these parameters.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
p.s.: I know, I might temporarily disable Options-.General->UI->Search as you type
-
Wait before search with date parameter
Re: Wait before search with date parameter
Always better to filter first, if you can.
So... C:/TMP/ *.ts dc:01/08/2014-31/08/2014
If nothing like that applies, then you might enter the dates first, then go back & preface that with dc:.
