Hi There
My copy of the latest version of Everything has just decided to stop working, all I get when I start it up is the message 'Updating Database' and in the task manager it is using 70% of the cpu time, usually when I start Everything I see it running through the drives then for a very short time it will display the 'Updating Database' message but now it is just stuck, been waiting for hours for it to complete whatever it is trying to do. Is there a way to reset the system or fix this issue? The older version still works fine so am I forced to go back to that?

Does it show where, as in is there a particular drive that it hangs with?
If so, run a CHKDSK on that drive.

Which version is that?

Re: Stuck on 'Updating Database'
It has finished scanning the drives, as soon as I open up Everything there is just an empty window and at the bottom it says 'Updating Database' and thats it just continues to say that while using almost all the CPU so nothing else can run properly. It is the very latest version.
Re: Stuck on 'Updating Database'
Oh just guessing, but perhaps some weird setting, so ...
Exit Everything (maybe even the service too, if you're running that).
Find Everything.ini & rename it to Everything.ini.NOT
Restart Everything & see what happens?
