Avoid HDD spin up

Is there a way I can keep a hdd indexed but bring up the everything window without spinning it up? If i open an item that is located on the HDD, a spinup is to be expected but otherwise it'd be nice to keep it sleeping..

Me too need that very much

4 hdd is waking up for only when open Everything
we need to stop doing that for my hdds life

search in index without waking up hdd and if i click to open file thats ok to open 1 hdd to open the file

can we do that ???
