Yes. I ticked "EFU file association", same problem
for more information:
Win7 x64, Everything is run as admin. Everything is run as portable.
icons are shown perfectly ok for all file types, only exception are .exe files

After ticking it, please close the options window.
Is EFU file association checked with a tick or a square in Tools -> Options -> General?
If it is square they may be an issue with Everything writing to the registry if it is checked it may be something else.

it's a tick mark, I did press OK and even restart Everything. Icons still not shown

Everything is not notifying the shell about the association change. I will fix this for the next update.
