I used to be able to use Ctrl-Shift-F to start a New Search Windows when Everything was running in my tray. With version 1.3.4.686 (x64) I cannot. I have remapped my hotkey in the Options->Keyboard->File|New Search Window to Ctrl-Shift-F, exited, and restarted but I can't get it to work. I saw another thread that said make sure I was using "Store settings in %APPDATA%\Everything" but that didn't help either.
What am I missing here?
Thanks,
Darren
Hotkey for New Window
Re: Hotkey for New Window
To set a hotkey to create a new, show or toggle the Everything search window:
- In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Keyboard tab.
- Up the top of the keyboard options page you have three Hotkey options:
- New window Hotkey - this always shows a new search window
- Show window Hotkey - only shows a single search window
- Toggle window Hotkey - shows or hides the search window
- Press Ctrl+Shift+F in your preferred choice.
- Remove the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F from File|New Search Window.

Wow. That's intuitive and not intuitive at the same time...hehe. I didn't understand how that panel worked. Now I do and it works great. Thanks for the tip!
