I've read all the other threads on the history of this issue. In 1.4, I worked around ETP connections defaulting to SortByName with the /always_keep_sort=1 option to maintain my preferred Date-Modified/Descending sort by default.
In 1.5a, /always_keep_sort does not appear to be honored for an ETP connection - it always starts in Sort by Name. I've tried several different workarounds, but can't get an ETP connection to start in Date-Modified/Descending no matter what, including the bookmark method (Everything64 -bookmark "Startup"). If I select the Bookmark manually once Everything is loaded it will show sort correctly, but just refuses to do it at startup.
Is there some new trick? I've also confirmed these lines in the .ini file
sort=Date Modified
sort_ascending=0
always_keep_sort=1
last_fast_sort=Date Modified
last_fast_sort_ascending=0
ETP connections always starting in Sort by Name order
Re: ETP connections always starting in Sort by Name order
Thank you for the issue report mvdeckard,
The next alpha update will keep the sort for: name, path, size and date modified by default.
Enabling always_keep_sort for other sorts will also be fixed.
I will have an update soon.
I'll make a post here once it is ready.

Re: ETP connections always starting in Sort by Name order
Everything 1.5.0.1327a fixes an issue with the ETP client losing the sort order.
Everything will now keep the same name, path, size and date modified sort order.
